Bush Sunrise, Flinders Ranges by Lyn Arnold

ARTIST NOTES: Do you dream of waking up early and going for a walk or horse ride in the Flinders Ranges, between Hawker and Ikara (Wilpena Pound) as the sun rises? Can't be there.
With this on your wall you can imagine you are there everyday - meeting the local station owner at the shearing sheds before heading out along the track in the pre-dawn light. After half an hour or so, the sun has risen and the last vestiges of the morning mist is lingering - a pink tinged haze in the distance. Then it is time to head back to the homestead where a cooked bush breakfast is waiting. What a way to start your day.
Custom framed, and varnished to protect your painting.

N.B. While I exercised artistic license and used personal reference photos and sketches, I would like to express my sincere thanks to Jacqui Barker, an amazing South Australian landscape photographer who kindly gave her permission for me to use one of her photos as an inspirational reference.

ARTIST BIO

Lyn Arnold is a contemporary artist based in Adelaide, Australia.

Lyn brings to her art the essence of a true professional who sees the world with keenly observant but fresh eyes. Her impassioned response to various subjects in nature and life together with the way she applies her brushstrokes and colour provides the viewer with an experience that is not only visually striking, but which stirs the heart and lifts the soul.

From emotive landscapes to evocative and, at times, nostalgic still lifes, Lyn Arnold's paintings transport the viewer to another place or moment in time, as if seeing it for the very first time.

In capturing the sense of being there, looking at Lyn's paintings the viewer can experience a moment of quiet contemplation and reflection on what brings joy, pleasure and harmony but is often pushed aside in the busy-ness of life.

Lyn has a Doctoral degree in cognition and learning. She previously worked as an educator and research consultant, nationally and internationally, living and working in Chicago for several years. Throughout this time her desire to  pursue her passion for art in a more dedicated way never wavered, and over the years she continued to hone her painting and drawing skills, ,which has proven invaluable in her transition to a life creating fine art works.
