I have regularly been painting since 2019, after attending a short workshop on watercolours at a local community art centre. Since then I have embraced this medium attending several short courses through Adelaide Central School of Art.
I paint mainly landscapes and seascapes, drawing inspiration from the many beautiful South Australian natural locations, as well as other locations visited on my travels. Loving and feeling a deep connection to the natural world brings a desire to try and capture that feeling through painting. I also enjoy painting a range of other subjects including florals and animals.
I completed several commissioned works in 2020 and 2021, and entered works into the Port Community Art Centre online exhibitions 'Silver Linings' 1st Jul - 1st Sep 2020 and 'Once Upn A Time...." gallery exhibition1st May - 16th May 2021.
I also work full time as a nurse and have found that painting has provided a means to get the much needed disconnect from work. |
